Work in Progress
The Quest for Justice.
Have you or someone you know, ever been unfairly treated by the system? Have you ever seen someone with some legal issues, and you wished you could have helped but were constrained? Have you ever been in a situation where you believed that you or someone you know deserves justice, but justice seemed elusive? Have you ever felt compelled to help victims of crime get justice, but you could not because you lack what it takes to do the job? These questions and many more form the basis why I want to practice law. They are the centerpiece of my quest for justice.
There are many people whose voices have been muted. There are also many people who want to speak but no one to hear them out. Many crimes and wrongs are committed frequently especially against society’s most vulnerable members. These people lack the knowledge or means to seek redress. My name is Noel Ahaneku, I want to be that voice for those whose voices seem muted. I want to be that earpiece to hear those who want to speak but cannot find the right avenue. I want to be that diligent advocate for justice. This is the reason for my pursuit of law.
As a nontraditional student of jurisprudence, I have been exposed to many different career paths and life situations. During such exposures, my long-held aspiration for legal career was resurrected. Such aspiration boils down to the need to fight for social justice and equity. Criminals should be brought to justice and victims of crimes receive justice. At this stage in my life and career, nothing could be more gratifying than the pursuit and realization of justice especially for the society’s most vulnerable members. This is why law and thus, The Quest for Justice.
